The games install fine through the EA app, but there doesn't appear to be any way to purchase the DLC for either game without buying the ultimate editions. I found the EA help page that has installers for some of the DLC, but it's missing several ones (such as Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening).

[Side Note: I was also able to do this for Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Awakening, and Mass Effect 1 & 2] This will add your Steam purchased copy of Dragon Age II to your Origin account, and any DLC that you have attached to your EA/Bioware account should install.
I've bought DLC's for Dragon Age 2 and installed them. When I look at my downloadable content, the version number reads "(Unauthorized) 1.0" -- and I can't access the game content. Just as an example, the manifest file for the mage item pack starts out The If it doesn't, or it shows up as unauthorized, make sure that the updater service is running. To do this, close the game, hold down the Windows key + R to bring up the run dialoge. Type services.msc in the run box. This will bring up your winows services. Scroll down to "Dragon Age: Origins Updater" and start it. After that all the single player dlc is working but catch is you have to play offline so you can`t use dragon age keep and multiplayer. 1) Open the Origin client (so you're authenticated) 2) Run "DragonAge2Config.exe" from your Dragon Age 2 install folder (mine was located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Dragon Age II\bin_ship) - this should register your game's proper install location. 3) Attempt to run the DLC installers again.
