Go to Documents/my games/Fallout4/saves. Here you can see all your save files. If you have multiple chracters, do a save on the character which you want to rescue from this issue. Now, you find the save file created at the time when you saved the game. The save file name consists of few parts.

Well you reinstalled the game, and when you reinstall the difficulty is set to normal by default. So any saves in Survival would not show up to load from. I don't think I had anything on survival, maybe very hard but when I set it to that it was still the same. Thanks for the advice though. #8.

Hacksaw999. • 6 yr. ago. Yes, as a bonus you will probably see faster load times as well once you get rid of the old ones. One recommendation, don't delete them right away. Move them to another folder and make sure the save you want is the one that's left. Then you can delete them. I have a bunch of folders with saves from my various characters.
